When you arrive at Short Stay 2
The car park has automatic number plate recognition, so you'll need to give us your car registration number when you book.
Drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate - this can take up to a minute. The barrier will open, so you can drive in and park. If nothing happens, press the button marked "assistance" so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking, and don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.
Once you're through the barrier find a space and keep your keys. From there, just walk to the terminal - it takes 2-3 minutes.

On your return to East Midlands
Walk back to your car and drive to the exit barrier, which will lift to let you out - this can take up to a minute. If it doesn't, press the button marked "assistance" and a member of staff will let you out. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking.
Important Information
Early or late? The car park offers a 6 hour grace period at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day, which is subject to change.

- What about any accessibility requirements?If you need Blue Badge parking we recommend Short Stay 1 instead which has some spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders, subject to availability on arrival.

- What security measures are in place?The car park is protected by CCTV, entry and exit barriers, a fence and lighting and 24-hour patrols. It holds the Park Mark, a national security award for car parks accredited by the police.
