Directions to the hotel:
- Leave the M23 at junction 10 and take the A264 towards East Grinstead - it's the first exit if you're travelling southbound, and the third exit if you're travelling northbound.
- Take the second exit at the next roundabout.
- Take the first exit at the roundabout, onto the B2028 Turners Hill Road. The hotel will be on the right.

Travelling to the hotel by train? The station is on the lowest floor of the South Terminal. From there a taxi to the hotel will take about 10 minutes and costs between £11-£13 when booked with the hotel's preferred firm.

All that fresh air and fun will work up an appetite, so it's a good job the Effingham has delectable cuisine served in stylish surrounds at the Terrace restaurant in the lobby. The Terrace serves fine-dining twists on traditional dishes that will still satisfy your appetite from 18:30 to 22:00. After dinner, you even have a choice of bars to prop up until the early hours. For a lively evening, the atmospheric sports bar screens live sports events or music television and there's a choice of table football or pool to try your luck on. The bar's welcoming wooden walls are decorated with sports memorabilia and it's the perfect place to lose track of time. For a quieter night out, on the other hand, retire to the lounge bar behind the Terrace restaurant and unwind in a peaceful space where you'll be left to your own devices. Both bars specialise in Scotch and Japanese whiskey and are happy to tell you all about it, but there's a small range of beers on tap and plenty of wine if that's your preference. There's also a bar menu of pub food from club-style sandwiches to burgers available in either bar and they're open from 16:00 until 00:00, from 12:00 at weekends. You can even choose from the same menu and have the food delivered to your room.

The bus service to the airport picks up from the hotel at a quarter past every hour, from 4.15am - 10.15pm. Tickets cost £5 each, with up to two children under 14 travelling free with two paying adults. The journey takes 10-15 minutes.
